JIM McDERMOTT, on drums, is the finest rock drummer in the country. As a teenager, he began his career as drummer on soundtrack of the original BBC drama series 'Tutti Frutti', and soon enjoyed chart success with his brother's band, The Kevin McDermott Orchestra, signed to Island Records. Today, Jimbo is still in demand around the world as a session drummer, particularly in France and Switzerland, and he has a deal as an ambassador for Zildjian cymbals. Scottish credits include Del Amitri, Deacon Blue, Gun, and The Silencers. Jimbo recently played Celtic Park with Simple Minds, and currently works closely with Justin Currie on his solo material.
