THE FLAVOURS were known as the main attraction at an Edinburgh club, where they had a residency for seven years, but due to increasing demand, the band have stepped out, and THE FLAVOURS now rotate across a number of music venues in Scotland, as well as taking bookings for corporates, private engagements and festivals.
Originally playing Jools Holland-style sets for the early gigs (when Jools himself owned the venue), THE FLAVOURS featured an all-girl brass section and a rota of male and female guest singers.THE FLAVOURS have long since evolved into a full-time five-piece band to meet the ever-changing demands of their clients, and are able to faithfully reproduce any style of music from pop, jazz, swing, lounge and rock'n'roll, through soul, rock, and disco, to current chart hits, anthems and evergreen party floor-fillers.
During the week, THE FLAVOURS are active session players, musicians and businessmen, often touring or recording in the UK or abroad with other bands, or producing music in recording studios for new or established recording artists.
Each individual member of THE FLAVOURS has enjoyed considerable success over the years (in some cases topping the charts) and the impressive list of names they have worked with includes Paul McCartney, Elton John, The Pretenders, The Proclaimers, Simple Minds, The Bluebells, Deacon Blue, Del Amitri, Kate Bush, Pilot, The Alan Parsons Project, Rick Wakeman, The Mavericks, Colin Blunstone, and Kevin McDermott.
Although no ordinary resident band, THE FLAVOURS, as jobbing musicians, are of course always in the market for bookings such as festivals, corporate events, weddings, parties, and as a backing band or session band for those who require something special at the very top level.
